Thoughts On Bullying

My thoughts on bullying can be somehow called complex. I do not believe bullying is okay, but I believe it’s a sort of comfort for the bully. If the bully is young, that means they have found a sense of joy in being a bully because it is a sense of control. Bullying causes happiness for the bully and sadness or a very bad feeling for the bullied. Bullying is not okay, but punishing someone for it isn’t either. It’s apparent that the bully has other issues in which they want to take out on another person. They might be angry at someone or even angry at themselves, therefore, they believe picking on someone is the right approach. Bullying can start at a very young age, and its easy to assume that the child just doesn’t know any better. As they grow up and mature, they’ll become ashamed of what they would say or do to hurt someone else’s feelings at such a young age. However, this only happens if they learn from their bad behavior. Teenage bullying is much more harder to handle. As young adults, we are expected to know wright from wrong. We should know our roles in society and have manners, that’s if, we learned any. Teenage suicide can be a grave danger. Millions of teenagers are bullied all over the nation, and often look towards suicide to escape the atrocity if being laughed at or mocked. Bullying isn’t only a verbal insult, its also physical. If and when bullying gets physical, the bully should seek anger management classes or help with their anger altogether. Hurting someone in a verbal or physical way has no excuse.
