Growing Up Is Not So Fun

A few struggles that I believe high school students go through is losing their path. At that transitioning age, where you go from being a child, to an adult, you go through a lot of internal changes, as well as external. Often times, parents aren't aware of these emotional battles and aren't supportive of their teenagers. Somedays, you can be happy with what you're becoming, and sometimes, you might feel absolutely confused about who you even want to be. High school students are expected to juggle their education, personal and social life in one hand, and as they move closer to graduation, it gets even harder. Many high school kids are prone to making bad choices in their teenage years, which can lead to other, even worse decisions. Since they are not aware of why they feel a certain way, they can fall into deep depression yet live their daily lives having to fake it because of school. There are many other struggles they go through, like having to get good grades, dealing with family problems, choosing a college to go to, getting a job, etc. However, I believe their emotional struggles are the hardest to overcome. Growing up is hurtful, and after high school, you never really stop growing up, you just get older.
